A few words about re-recording Under and Anno. I have to say I was the skeptic one this time. I embarked this small adventure with a very simple condition: there was no compromise at all of releasing it. If there was no truth behind it, that is, if we couldn’t get back to those times but still feel something of the spirit which took us there at the first place, this would stay between us. After all many years have passed and it is not liquid that we could set ourselves in order to attain what was needed in such a record. What was needed, in my opinion, was first and foremost to correct the mistakes that were clouding a great deal of the potential I always felt lost in between the production faults and our own technical limitations. That’s correct! Our ideas were too big for our skills! That said I have to tell you that all the other guys were pretty excited about this project. Ricardo only started recording with Moonspell since Irreligious (and in doubt he was the one playing the fan, telling us where to go and what was missing, I went back to the booth a couple of times to record some missing laughs); Pedro got in the band after Anno Satanae only (now I know what we were missing!) and Mike missed Serpent Angel because our drummer at the time eventually showed up just in time to record it, while young Mike was already sharpening his unholy sticks. Aires recorded the bass on this one as well, being these the first songs he records with the band as well. In a way there is a feeling of justice done to my mates and now we have all touched everything we did so far, which feels great. Feels great and feels true and that is why we will be unleashing this beast of youth in October. You can listen to it how many times you want here and get a litlle bit more inside what was recording it by accessing the link below. Cursed be!
